Evelyn Hurley's Hospital Bill

On November 25, 1994, an accident occurred at Teen-Beat headquarters on Wakefield Street in north Arlington, Virginia. Mark Robinson was replacing light bulbs in the Teen-Beat office; the adjunct room which was originally Rob Christiansen's bedroom. While replacing the glass fixture over the bulbs, the fixture cracked and shards of glass went flying below. One of the sharp-edged pieces hit Teen-Beat staff member Evelyn Hurley near her right temple and the blood began to flow.

An Air Miami airplane tee-shirt was quickly grabbed from stock to try and stop the bleeding. Mark drove Evelyn to nearby Arlington Hospital toot sweet.

After a lengthy waiting room visit, Evelyn received stitches and was released.

This Teen-Beat number was allocated to the hospital bill when Teen-Beat reimbursed Miss Hurley for her medical expenses. Thankfully, Miss Hurley was insured at the time and the bill wasn't too tall.
